Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday post, a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. Please go and have a look at everyone else is reading and make sure you post your own WWW in the comments so I can have a look.
The premise of the post is quite simple – answer the three Ws:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently between books, but I am about to start While My Eyes Were Closed by Linda Green. I’ve been a bit disappointed in thrillers recently, but this has got good views on Goodreads, so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it. The trope of a missing child is always intriguing in a morbid sort of way.
What did you recently finish reading?
I have just, this minute, finished After You by Jojo Moyes. I had promised myself I’d get it done yesterday, and while I managed around 150 pages, it got to quite late and I had to be up early this morning, so I put it down 20 pages till the end. I have to admit, I was rather reluctant in finishing it today. Overall it’s taken me a lot longer than I expected to get to, and I’m not really sure how I feel about it. I enjoyed it to a certain extent, but I’m not sure how necessary it was. It lacked a lot of the humour of Me Before You, and I really missed that. I’m going to have to collect my thoughts before writing my full review.
What do you think you’ll read next?
My original plan was to read The Lie by C. L. Taylor, but with only two weeks left until uni starts, I think I’m better working through some of the more difficult ones. I know The Lie will be an easy read, judging by C. L. Taylor’s other two books, so I’m sure I’ll be able to get through it alongside studying. I accidentally found myself in Waterstones at the weekend and ended up somehow buying The Reader on the 6:27 by Jean-Paul Didierlaurent and Missing Presumed by Susie Steiner, so I’ll probably read one of those next.
Missing Presumed is one I’ve been eyeing lately…and I also like the look of While My Eyes Were Closed.
I’ve been planning to read After You for a while…but, like you, I’ve been hesitant. Maybe I’ll wait.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

That cover of The Reader on the 6.27 looks so intriguing. I will check that out on GR now. And probably end up adding it to my rapidly growing tbr-pile 😀 (Ah, help!)

I’m reading Schism at the moment, the last book in the Forevermore Series I think? And Wuthering Heights as well on Serials Reader app.
Last thing I read was the Eventide Series.
No idea what to read next. I was thinking of that Raven Boys series or something but definitely open to suggestion haha.

I hope that you will enjoy Missing Presumed more than I did. I have been reluctant about reading After You. It has been on my TBR for a while now and reading your comments about it, made me push it town my reading list a little bit lol. Anyway, I look forward to reading you review. Happy reading.

I’ve heard so many good things about Moyes’ books but I haven’t been able to read one yet. I hope you enjoy! Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
